It really doesn't matter who is in their system. You can never have too many prospects, because very few prospects are sure things. Kane is going to be very expensive. Bratt had 35 points last season and is on pace for about the same. Kane already has more points than Bratt will probably get a ll season. Studenic may be a solid player but he isn't even on NJ's top 10 prospect list. Chicago may never trade Kane but if they do it will take a lot more.

Bratt hit a big time wall in the second half of last season because that can happen with Euro rookies.. He's got 11 points in 15 games this year after returning from a smashed face. We're not really in a position to trade d-men, so McLeod instead of Studenic then? That's our top three young pro or prospect forwards outside of Nico, plus the 1st in 2020 (we'd be insane to move this year's). You're probably right that he never gets moved, but I tried to do a what if.

Chicago would never part with Patty Kane, unless they got back more of a return then that, every team in the NHL would be going hard to get Kane if all they had to part with was 3 decent young prospects, and a 1st. Pretty good package but not gonna get you a top tier player.
