Yeah I agree, but I don't know who would take him. I figured I'd keep him in there because the Penguins always run into injury problems, so he'll get some play time.

That condition doesn't work. Free agency is after the draft, so Brassard likely would resign after that pick is used. Remove that pick and make the third in 2020 going to Dallas on the condition that Brassard doesn't resign, then it'll work.

I didn't even think of that. Yeah just replace it with a different pick then.

no way the penguins do that carolina trade it's horrible.

The Dallas trade is a 50/50. I think the value is right.
It just depends if Dallas actually wants to move him.

I thought I read Brett Pesce was the only defenseman Carolina won't trade. I think you should simplify the trade and get Michael Ferland.

Wow does this screw the cap for next year. There is no way the Pens would be able to have a chance at resigning ferland much less ZAR, Pettersson, and Riikola and fill in rest of Roster.

I didn't hear about that, but ok. We could also replace Pesce with one of Faulk/Hamilton. Of course if we don't get a RHD back and we just get Ferland, the value is lowered.

Which is why I put in the condition. If the Penguins actually go out and get Ferland, I highly doubt they'd be able to sign him either. Also by adding Pesce, you can trade one of the defenseman you just listed (or somehow get out from under Jack Johnson's contract).

you cant be serious on that Carolina trade. That is absolutely AWFUL. Even if you dropped BOTH first round picks I am not certain of that deal for the pens.
