Agreed on this. Everyone makes Vesalainen out to have the value of McDavid/Laine where he's an "untouchable". He was ranked 22nd on tsn's top 50 prospects. Just to put in perspective, everyone gets on Lias Anderssons case that he is a bust and he is ranked 28th-- not that far behind. If Hayes was not a ranger and the rangers needed him to push them over the top, you bet the rangers would give up andersson and a pick that could turn into a 1st if hayes resigned with the rangers. That's not out of the relm, if Jets don't wanna give up a 1st as well just don't resign hayes

Eh I disagree with the comments above on the Winnipeg trade. that's about right. Especially retaining salary and giving a 3rd. Hayes is a drastic upgrade for them and could do some real damage on that team.

I don't think anyone trades a bag of pucks for Mcleod (but I would love if that deal happened).

I think ya nailed the zucc Calgary trade and could probably get a good prospect out of that one as well.
