Description

Kinda realistic. Marner gettin at least 10.5-11 on 7 or 8 years. brown definitely gone. Have to get rid of zaitsev and to do that, gotta give up Johnsson, Willy, or kapanen. Don't have to get pesce, but someone similar. Fourth line gonna be young and on entry level and so will third pair d. Patrick Marleau ain't going anywhere, but I wish he would. If zaitsev can't be moved which would be hard, Willy prolly has to go.

Marner will not get $11 million AAV, and I suspect Marner's term will be 7-8 years. I highly doubt the Leafs go after Pesce. It seems his cost way above what the Leafs should be prepared to give away. Josh Manson, though not Brett Pesce is a capable RHD, who, on a top team could excel at what he does best - defend. I think it would take far less to acquire Manson than Pesce. Johnsson should be a non-starter for any trade talk, and that goes ten-fold for Kapanen.

Trades aside, are you hoping no one gets injured? 21 players are too few to have on a roster

Kap will also get more than 2.5M

I know! Kucherov at 9.5 starting next year looks like a bargain. BTW Kucherov leads the League with 80 points. Marner couldn't hold Kucherov's jock strap....hahaha

Yup! Bingo! $0 in overages for this posted team on ACGM. I just don't know what the terms are of those bonusses. If they'll get reached or not.

I actually see the risk both ways though. Matthews takes a bit less now and expects more later in his career. But with three major injuries so far I like to see at least he's willing to do something (even though small) to help the team. He could have asked fie much MUCH more of signed an OS or at least waited out the season to scare them. All in all of he were UFA 30 other teams would offer him 11.65
