Rosen and liljegren would rotate with Babcock deciding who he would like to play more just as a side note and the coburn signing is one that I could see happening cause he’s 33 and has a defensive minded game so he’s cheap (and younger than hainsey) but still help stop Andersen from facing 30-40 shots a night. Brown trade also had to happen for cap reasons but u can counter act that with signing Duclair for $1.75 million aav who will more than likely become a free agent and lastely the nylander trade also has to happen or else we lose a lot of depth I.e kapanen or johnsson and same with zaitsev who needed to be upgraded cause he has lost all offensive capability and defensive capability. Gardiner also has to go no cap space left

A few thoughts..... Nylander isn't getting traded. With that trade theres no way Carolina gives up a 1st and a 2nd. And no way Carolina takes Zaitsevs contract in that deal. They are already loaded with D beyond the guys they currently have in the NHL. If you trade for Pesce there's no reason to sign Coburn. Rosen will be on this team 100% next year so you don't need Coburn especially for 2mil per. at that price you could re-sign Hainsey and probably for less money. Why add Wallmark?? Gauthier will be a fine 4th line C next year just like he's been this year. And hopefully with another summer of improvement under his belt he's even better. i'm down with the Brown trade, but really, you could trade him just about anywhere for a pick. I'd also steer clear of Duclair. Hes not worth that money. Youd be better off to resign Ennis for maybe 800K or adding a guy like Brandon Tanev if Winnipeg doesn't resign him. He's got wheels, a little bit of grit and he's a great PK guy.

I'm all for trading Nylander for cap reasons, but returning no money is the key to the the trade.

We can talk about Pesce for Nylander. We can also talk about Pesce for Johnsson or Kapanen plus...but just know that trading Pesce is highly unlikely. Contracts create issue for Nylander and Zaitsev, and Zaitsev is a hard pass from Carolina. No chance Canes would be giving up Pesce plus for anything.

The canes trade is unrealistic. They are not looking to trade for a dman and dubas has made it clear that nylander is not on the marke. The cap dump will come from somewhere else. This might still involve trading zaitsev (some value in return) but not the Carolina. In addition no need to sign coburn because Calle Rosen is NHL ready along with liljgeren. There may be some growing pains with those 2 next year but I believe that Reilly, Muzzin, Dermott, Rosen, and Liljgeren, plus resigning Hainsey will be a solid unit
