Why do the Hawks want a rental? McQuaid isn't getting re-signed either because the Hawks have Mitchell, Boqvist, Jokiharju, Muphy and Seabs all on the right. So basically you are suggesting the Hawks to give up assets for a rental? Why? Hawks don't have a shot in hell of making a run this year.

Mitchell for Dzingel will never happen straight up. Mitchell and a 2nd is more like it.

Lmao hawks fans are nuts. Dzingel won't be traded unless Kane or Keith are involved.

LMAO you're nuts if you think Kane is needed to get Dzingel....seriously you made me laugh out loud on your comment! laugh

This trade offer is ridiculous, so is yours. A 2019 1st from Chi would do it. They’d likely drop the 2nd piece they are asking for as he is going out of division and it should be a decent pick.

A 1st is excessive for Dzingel whose on-ice numbers are trash. Mitchell + 2nd is probably even a good deal for OTT.

Ya those 22 goals are terrible. ?. They are asking for a 1st and a prospect which means a 1st or a 2nd and a prospect likely gets it done. Depends on the bidding war. My guess is 2nd and Mitchell is pretty fair but they get better offers.

I mean he should get what 25 goal Michael Grabner got last year. A 2nd and a B/C Prospect. I mean honestly probably should get less because Grabner was putting up those numbers while penalty killing, without any PP time. Yeah Dzingel isn't that great. The majority of his goals are one of Duchene/Stone or Chabot doing most of the work. A 2nd + a prospect is decent value for him.

Why would you sign Seabrook to a terrible deal? or Trade Panarin for Saad? This wouldn't be the worst thing Chicago does.

Yet there is rumblings that 2nd and Zboril are in the table already and Sens are pushing for 1st and Zboril for Zinger and 4th. So why would they take less? What fair value is and what market value is can be two different things. ?‍♂️

Yeah that's crazy. But if Sweeney thinks Dzingel is Rick Nash that's cool lol.

According to sources, Dzingel is worth a early 2nd round pick and a good NHL prospect (Mitchell is) or a role player. That's accurate for a player with one breakout season and producing next to Duchene and Stone. Dzingel, who I've watched through the Chicago AAA system, is not playmaker on his own, he compliments playmakers well. He's either a 1st line compliment or a 3rd line anchor. Nobody that knows him would argue with that. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have him on my team, but not at the cost of a 1st round pick and then some.

Then you won’t have to worry about it. ?‍♂️

Tatar was not worth 1,2,3 last year but they got it. Plekanec was not worth 2 2nds, they got it. Fair value goes out the window at the deadline. Supply and demand. I think they have a hard time getting the asking price but as i said rumors out of Boston says 2nd and Zboril already on the table and they want more.

LMAO, so there you go...not a 1st round pick. Duclair is not a great player, has flashes but not a great player. 2 2nd and Duclair isn't worth a 1st. Amazing how fast that happens and amazing Columbus is doing everything possible...mad respect to the GM there, to keep Panarin or at least make a serious run this year.

Did you miss the part where i said they’d have a hard time getting their asking price or something? Lol. I said it was going to take a 1st or a 2nd and a prospect and they already had a 2nd and a prospect on the board and were pushing for more. Which they got. They fell short of the 1st but that was always a reach.

Zingers isn't worth a 1st then we both agree unless it was a late 1st round pick.

This begs the question; what happens with Bob, Duchene, Zingers and Panarin in the offseason? I get the Jackets are all in now and love it but no way do all 4 re-sign and doubt 2 of the 4 re-sign. Assuming Bread and Bob are gone, does Duchene or Zingers want to stay after they leave? Could turn into a complete fallout this summer especially if the Jackets at least don't make the conference finals. Who knows, but worth thinking about.

How does them doing bad things in the past justify making another bad deal
