Definitely don't want to get rid of kadri and don't want Larsson, maybe take those two out of that deal then maybe? but then it doesn't make sense from an oilers cap perspective.

I wanted to make Larsson trade because I think Larsson would be great piece for us. He has been struggling this year but who didnt for Oilers except Leon and Connor.. Larsson is great defensive defenceman and always great in playoffs. Kadri... I love the guys tenacity, his grit and scoring touch but I think as he gets older he might get less effective so I would rather lose Kadri now than get nothing for him in the future.. Kadri is great guy.. our jerk! He is unbelievable but he might be the sacrificial part that moves along with Z.

I was surprised by how physical Larsson is by looking at his stats. He would easily our most physical player going forward. I have a feeling in a better situation he could have a pretty big turnaround.

Also, Leafs should be looking into Justin Braun as an option next year if they could clear some capspace. He can keep the seat warm till Liljegren is ready. Big changes coming in SJ this year if they plan on keeping Karlsson.

Braun is good too. But Leafs and Sharks both want cap out so this would not be as good. Braun would be good tho. Very reliable Dman.

to Larsson.. he is pretty good skater for his size, he is good on puck but mostly he is just defensively great, posses good understanding of position he is in and players around him. I think I might be alone but I think that him besides Rielly would be elite pairing.

Yeah, Braun would only be an option if Leafs ended up with some extra capspace (on the 5% chance Marleau is no longer here), then we would be able to get him for only picks and prospects, on top of grabbing a Larsson or Pesce in a Kadri trade.

Yeah, Larsson and Rielly would make a good pair, take Hainsey's only good attributes, but in a younger, more mobile, more physical player.

I don’t have much faith in larsson would rather do Kadri for pesce and move zaitsev and brown. Have Dermott with muzzin and let Oz play with Rosen. To be honest we would still have the option to keep zaitsev if we move Kadri for a cheaper centre but I don’t think that works as well.

I would be happy with either Braun or Larsson. If they were a replacement for Zaitsev I would be very happy. At least they can play on the top line.
