Lines we have currently are better. Kadri needs to be centerman versus Bruins and put against top line of boston. Nothing else..

Hmmm I disagree... these lines are very well thought out.

If we play the Kadri line against Boston’s top line that means that brown Kadri and nylander will play over 20min.... effectively keeping our top line off the ice.

Personally I wouldn’t mind...

Thats a good point. Kadri on LW of Tavares-Marner might be lethal. I would keep Johnsson-Matthews-Kapanen line as it looks amazing but I wouldnt mind sandpaper with mobility on 3rd line like Hyman-Nylander-Brown which was Marlies top line few years ago. Have Moore-Marleau-Ennis/Petan line as 4th line.

I like your lines even better but you are kinda hanging nylander without much of a shooter. He can get it done himself though if brown and Hyman can dig him some pucks.

My idea was that Nylander is playmaker and a good one. Sort of like Kucherov kind of player who is playmaker but can snipe. He would do both on that line but would distribute pucks to Hyman and Brown when they dig up space and pucks for him.

Agree a bit with @Jamiepo that Nylander doesn't have a tremendous amount of skill on his line...but him and Hyman are good possession guys and can go out and give you very reliable 3rd line minutes.

I'm digging the idea of Kadri up with JT and Marner...would be worth experimenting with IMO. But can also see Babcock not bumping Hyman further than the 2nd pairing and moving Johnsson down...I guess that's something you can play with depending on how Johnsson is doing. His highs are higher than Hyman but Zach gives a pretty consistent effort every night.

Agreed about Hyman... I think he would be completely interchangeable with Johnsson. I’m just not in favour of cutting 1st and 2nd line minutes down to match Kadri against the pasta line. I think that Marner JT and Kadri are all very Defensively sound and can also turn it back the other way on them.

Kadri - Tavares - Marner was where I began my thoughts on this.

Ultimately though, Hyman is not really a top six forward and I believe each line should have two legit top 6 forwards.

Think of it as...

Kadri - Tavares
Matthews - Marner
Johnsson - Nylander

Those are our top 6 imo. Kapanen is close at 7 so he goes with Willy.

Hyman is a disaster in his own end on his off wing and I believe he needs to be on the right to be most effective. It makes most sense to me to put him with Naz and JT and match them up against the top line. Honestly, the more I think about it the more I believe it is our best chance against the Bruins.

Then let Moore - Matthews - Marner and AJ - WN - KK try to take advantage of mismatches.

Marner has to come off that matchup line imo.

Kadri - Tavares - Kapanen
Moore/Ennis/Petan - Matthews - Marner
Johnsson - Nylander - Hyman
Marleau - Goat - Brown

But I don’t find Marleau can spark a line at all anymore and he actually drags them down.

I know it’s not cool, but if I was coach he would start in the press box if he doesn’t up his game between now and the playoffs.
