In reality, he's probably only a mil off on ek because the advantage Tampa has.

Not entirely true. Just because he's not a top 6 Tampa forward doesn't mean worth nothing. Dont think Carolina is the team for him though. Would suit Boston, Philly, Colorado. Probably could help the Habs depth scoring and pk too.

accept EK has said numerous times he wont take any discount and wants something around doughty contract with kings which is 11 million cap hit . what exactly is tampas advantage?

No state income tax. At least for half the games.

well no team has tampas record this year or last year but regular season champs doesn't mean anything really and yes a few of those teams are very strong cup contenders without EK adding him would only strengthen there chances. besides without the real ability to dump Callahan, miller, and Killorn where is the cap space coming from. Tampa may be able to sign EK but no chance at that price.
