Sabres gave a first to acquire Montour, doubt if they give a second also just for one year of Trouba. Wings have goaltending, why would they trade starting Dman for a minor. league goalie.
Kulimov and Perrault can be traded for cap reasons but don't expect much in return.

Yeah Bowey is only offered as part of a package deal for Trouba, No way we're dealing Bowey unless Trouba is coming home to Detroit. And that's just plain fact.

With the year Laine's having I'm not so sure he commands $10M

What if I remove the 2nd and just keep the conditional 1st on Trouba resigning
So if Trouba doesn’t sign, Trouba for montour
If he does, Trouba for montour and 1st (top 10 protected)

Comrie deserves an nhl spot next year and has nhl starter potential. I could give a 2nd instead of the 4th and comrie
So Bowey for a 2nd

Kulikov is sending a nhl ready prospect (4c) and a 3rd with him for a player who can’t even crack Laval (one of the worst teams in the ahl). That isn’t return at all. I treated him as a cap dump

I think that is what it takes for 8 years. Don’t forget he still is one of the best goal scorers in the league

Comrie is a really good goalie prospect who has starter potential. What if I made the 4th a 3rd?
I do not think he is too valuable considering what you just gave up to get him.

We don't need goalie prospects? We've both Filip Larsson and Keith Pettruzelli waiting in the wings in a few years.

What about Bowey for a 2nd
OR Bowey for Green (good D prospect) and a 3rd

Trouba seems to be a unique guy. He has does everything.....turn down long term contracts so he can be a UFA as soon as possible in 2020. I just think it's a bad deal for the Sabres....hoping he signs. And if I'm a Jet...true Cup contender, maybe your best chance to win a Cup in spring of 2020 is with Trouba.

Not interested in dealing Bowey, Unless it's part of a deal to bring Trouba home this summer at the draft. Holland has high praise for Bowey. Pretty sure if he deals him it's part of a deal to bring Trouba home to Detroit nothing else.

I am a jets fan and I really hope he does sign (even if it means bridging a guy like connor). However, realistically speaking, Trouba for Montour is a decent trade. Trouba is a top pairing guy (one of the best all-round in the league with his current play). Montour is 2nd pairing. With the excess of PP QB BUF has (Risto, Dahlin, Montour), one has to go.

This trade is fair IMO. A Trouba rental would cost a little more than the Duchene one did for columbus. Duchene got a 1st, an A prospect, a B prospect, and a conditional 1st. Taking into account what BUF just payed for Montour (1st + A prospect). We can say that Trouba will be worth a Montour value player and a conditional 1st.

This trade is especially good for BUF if trouba signs. You get the perfect player to play with and mentor Dahlin which could become one of the best pairings down the road for a 2nd paring d-man and a 1st.

Do you think the value is right?
Also Bowey has not shown any increase in production and if I was a rebuilding team and got an offer like the 3 I have suggested, I would take them over bowey any day.

If we were to deal Bowey, I think that's a fair offer for him.

Detroit doesn't need Comire. Rybar is better than Comire.

Are either of those prospects Ottawa got from the Jackets for Duchene really A prospects?
Doesn't seem like it, they both look like B prospects at best.

He's only 18th in G/60 and 78th in P/60 at 5v5 since coming into the league, although 3rd in G/60 in all situations, but he gets a lot more PP time than the average player.

He's also a winger without arbitration, and UFA wingers like Kucherov and Mark Stone are only making $9.5M despite being better players, and having the ability to leave and negotiate with other teams.

If you look at some of his comparables Tarasenko and Kane are probably the closest and they only made 10.27% and 11.09% of the cap respectively. I think he makes somewhere in the middle at best, which on an $83M cap is about $9M.
