Nolans value would roughly be what schmaltz was as in dylan strome, as both players havent panned out as expected but he is currently a solid middle 6 but hasnt reached the top 6 consistency yet. That is my opinion so take it with a grain of salt as a nyr fan.

he seems like a 4th defenceman as a defensive or tough guy but seems reliable i can see him being a poor mans jake muzzin, a better version of adam mcquad so on trade value a low prospect and a 2nd round essentially but of course this would have to be to the right team.

Gee, I don't why folks would be down on Patrick. Last year was his rookie year and he could have been in junior so it's not like he is slow developing. Gudas, for what you could get in a trade, you keep cost a efficient RHD.

not sure why you would want to trade Patrick. He is still young and cheap.

As for Gudas, probably not a lot but maybe a third and a meh prospect.

I really like the Schmaltz comparison, although I think Patrick has a higher ceiling than Schmaltz. Schmaltz's ceiling to me is a very good 3C on a contender while I think Patrick's ceiling is an average 2C on a contender.

In terms of value, I think Dylan Strome is pretty close. Why trade him though? He's still young and Philly has time to wait for him to develop.

Obviously it's not what you'd hope for a 2nd overall pick, but being worth Schmaltz is by no means a bad thing, the guy got 50+ points when he was 21. Dylan Strome comparison spot on, and look how he is playing now... maybe just bad environment. No need to trade him though.
