I'd assume Gardiner is going to free agency this off-season though, so he fills a hole.

Yea, but they have Reilly, Muzzin, and Dermott on the left side. They are going to likely trade Zaitsev and Hainsey is a UFA, both play the right side. That is the bigger hole to fill.

Gotcha. Not familiar with Leafs defensive situation, so thanks for the info.
Pesce would then be ideal for yall but I just don't see us trading him.
