Canes need a third line center and could use a cost controlled winger and McKeown is never going to get his shot on the Canes blueline. Trade makes sense for both teams.

This construct is marginally better than the current team.

I've been on team tank for a while now but with the current core, its going to be hard to draft top 5 anymore. I think we got to think bigger.

While I think Schaller is worth a pick, maybe even better than a 7th, Buffalo has at least 3 Schaller's if not 4 (Larsson, Girgensons, Wilson and Rodrigues). Maybe a team that needs to improve its PK. The Avalanche, Capitals or Jets (25th, 24th, 22nd PK in the NHL),

I'd like to see them get someone with a bit more speed to go along with Pettersson... Let's be patient that Virtanen can round out into a Ferland like power forward.
