Nutivaara is 3X time better than Zaitsev, why's Zaitsev on the 2nd pairing ?

just left Z and Muzzin together based on the playoffs......Dermott and Nutivaara would be the 2nd pair most likely

because Muzzin and Zaitsev are shutting down the best line in hockey in the playoffs for most of the series. ... Zaitsev isn't as bad as people on here say he is. He's just on a rough contract for a team that's in a cap crunch. Babcock likes his lefty-righty combos and likes guys where he knows what he's getting from them.. Zaitsev has played for Babcock longer. For all these reasons, it's very hard to say that Nutivaara is "3X" better than Zaitsev.. Zaitsev definitely deserves more minutes.

For cap reasons the Leaf might have to do trades like this as you suggest. Leafs can't really trade both Nylander and Kadri though, a good third NHL centre is needed. And Khaira...I love his energy at times ,hasn't proved capable being a high minute centre.

That EDM trade tho... It would've worked if Chiarelli was the GM of the Leafs.
