Myers certainly laughs at that, why does Connor?

What has he done to earn more than Ehlers, when Ehlers signed it (thats when he should be compared to)?

For OP: Why are you so high on Athanasiou?

Honestly, before I wrote this post I thought they were closer in production. There last two years of ELC:

158 GP 65 G 123 pts
164 GP 54 G 124 pts

I'll fully admit I thought they were a little closer

If you're curious in Per Game numbers and per 82

Connor: 0.411 GPG/0.78 PPG or 34 g/64 pts
Ehlers: 0.33 GPG/ 0.76 PPG or 27 g/62 pts

So the simplest comparison would be that. 27 g/62 pts for Ehlers to 34 g/64 points for Connor. Yeah he should make a little more

What would it cost Buffalo to get Trouba? Love the idea of a Dahlin-Trouba pairing

That is far less than Ehlers if you account for term and inflation. Connor has back to back 30+ goal seasons. He will have a brand new set of comparables this year. Like Laine... which hmmm... seems to be making more money on less term with less production this year.

Not many teams who would be able to send back a Dman if they are looking to acquire a top dman, which is why i think the jets will have to make 2 trades. Trouba for a forward, then a forward for a good young D.

Athanasiou, 30 goals and 54 points this season on a bottom of the barrel team, as a third and 4th liner most of the time. He can play C, or Wing, anywhere up and down the lineup. Has speed, which i feel the jets were lacking a little bit, and he kills penalties. i think he would be a great fit on the Jets second or third line.

Yeah I actually had compared them earlier in the season. Connor must have ended the year strong because he is better in the comparison now. I take back my comment.

He wasn't a third or fourth liner.

He played almost 17 minutes a night. Had the 4th most minutes per game by a forward and 2nd most by a C on their team. He was their #2 c.
