Tatar might be asking for some attention lol scoring, defending well.. he is complete package too. But I agree that Lehkonen is really underrated. Hope he picks up point totals so everybody can start noticing.

I don't know what this obsession with you and Lehkonen is?

I think you misunderstand "complete" with plays hard every game and is defensively sound. I don't think anyone whose seen him play can deny him of that. He is a very good 200 ft player that gives 110% just about every game. He is however incredibly bad at finishing plays off and his shot is wildly inaccurate at the most inopportune time.

Lehkonen will never be a top 6 player. That is pretty clear to anyone who is not bias but he can be a really good top 9 guy. Which is perfectly fine by me.

Saying he is the most complete player is borderline asinine when a comparable with the same attributes as Lehkonen has but better in the offensive categories exists: Brendan GALLAGHER is the most complete Habs winger and its not even close.

Sorry, Gallgher is amazing and hustles harder than anyone, but I might feel the need to make a case for Danault as the most complete. He had the same number of points as Gallagher, was Julien's most trusted centre all season AND can play all forward positions.

*Winger* - if we're taking centers into consideration than yeah Danault probably takes it for me also.

Edit: There is no such thing as a center who can't play wing so its only assumed when taking into consideration that its only wingers and not centers. Things change drastically from winger to center so the inverse can't be said about the other.

Gallagher doesn’t have speed & is bad defensively/positioning. But Gallagher’s a great winger. And Lehkonen have a good shot, he just have no finish. He needs to find that finish, I believe in him. He might not turn to a top6 winger, but I hope he puts 20 goals ~45 points a season just to shut the mouth to those saying : Hudon is better than Lehkonen

He’s the best mtl winger in the neutral zone. Agressive, he’s constantly in the puck holder’s face causing several turn overs.

But having limited talent finishing plays is a bit problematic, especially for a winger whose role in the offensive zone is to stand close to the net.

Do we need to compare him to Tatar or Drouin? It’s like comparing Domi vs Danault, Weber vs Petry. IMO the player he has to look at and think he can be is Andrew Shaw.
