You should work on your over reactions some more... these are decent moves.

These are all pretty even sided deals..wasn't expecting that. DeAngelo deal is low tho, will be more like a 2 year 2.25-2.5.

I based his deal off of Ryan Pulock’s with the assumption that DeAngelo is currently viewed as the inferior player. I can agree that $1.4mil could still be low

They're pretty decent moves, but Toronto isn't retaining on Zaitsev if Nylander is in the deal. Getting Nylander with him doesn't negate enough value from Zaitsev to make them retain

Wild likely decline. I like Nylander a lot, but Greenway is a huge part of our future. Fenton has also said on record that our prospect pool isn't up to par, so I can't see him moving that 2nd either. Value might be close, but other than Spurgeon those are pieces I can't see us moving unless it's a large overpayment.

So it's obviously over 50 years of over reacting then. Toronto has been hat bad for ages now.

I really like that Minnesota trade. No reason to retain salary on Zaitev because shown in these playoffs he was good and people should stop saying he’s a bad contract. He may be a tad over paid maybe like 500K but he was solid all around in the playoffs

Say the price of acquiring Zaitsev is Greenway and the 2nd. You’re giving up a good right shot D on an expiring contract in exchange for a 23 year old (next week) player WITH TERM who has top line potential at the most highly coveted position (Center) where the Wild have nonexistent depth. Hopefully Fenton can muster more than a laugh at that...
