Bob for $10M or Petr for $5M? my vote is Petr and use the extra $5M and draft picks to get and established top 9 scoring forward like Kapanen

Even Mrazek at 5 is scary. I hate thinking about goalie contacts ever since Darling frown

Agreed, guess my point is spending $10M on a goalie is scary, especially while carrying $4M on Darling and still needing a backup (Ned or Mac i would suppose) - That's a lot of Cap on the Goalie position. With the spending on our blueline, that doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room on forwards...

Not sure about Fleury getting a 2nd, but not too far off. How many of those 2nds...plus the 2019 1st...would you give to move up to the #3 OA in 2019?

I don’t even know how much the canes have to change maybe besides help out Toronto and get either Nylander or Madrid. They’re a young team and beat the defending champions and making the best defensive team look like fools

You could look at it that way, or you could also realize that we were two losses from not making the playoffs at all...and we're counting on the same guys again next year. Almost without exception, the rest of the conference looks to be getting better as well.

You would expect all of the young players to make strides, and for the captain to take a small step backwards. Perhaps bringing up Necas or another Charlotte kid will improve the depth.

I wouldn't spend the money on Bob. I'd offer Mrazek 3-4 years at +/-$4m and bring up Neddy. I could see moving some of our riches at defense for another scorer. Nylander is the obvious one, but I'm a little worried about his dedication to team after last season.
