Marner's cap is so low at 9.5m? It's the same as Kucherov. Pickard has proved he's worse than Sparks.

I actually think you may have overpaid Marner a bit. For a one year deal, that gets him to the point of having arb rights, I think 7 million is fine. Maybe 8, but not more. That's a player friendly term.

The carolina trade is pretty much the same as Carolina offering a 3rd round pick for Matthews. It's awful.
