These are very interesting trades indeed. I'd still suggest you try to shed Callahan since it's modified NTC, but that's besides the point I'm sure. pretty darn good trades IMO.

***EDIT*** insert Taylor Raddysh @ RW next to Cirelli. They've played together in Erie and I think he'll do well there.

We are under the cap, the only way to move Callahan is to add assets for very little return. Callahan is still an effective third/fourth line player for 12 minutes a night so I'd keep him.

Latest rumors are the Bettman was too optimistic on the cap. They might be a little light of $83M...How much...who knows

I like the Buffalo move, and agree with the suggestion to try to shed Callaghan. You've got plenty of assets to convince a team to take the remaining season of his contract.

I just don't see Carolina jumping to move a Dman like Pesce though. The value could very well be close, but that D-Core is the reason why they are where they are currently. Not to mention that IF they trade him, they probably won't want to see him playing for a division rival. They just lost TVR for the rest of the playoffs, and it won't even affect them!

At the end of the day, I could see a guy like Faulk, who's going into the last year of his contract, possibly being moved to make space for Bean, but they've got something pretty special back there right now. Probably more likely to see them ride with what they've got, sign a FA forward or two and roll with it.

We do not get enough reports on the crunch. I know Volkov has almost made the club the last two years. Barre-Boulet had a great rookie season and so did Verhaeghe. Any of the three has potential of making it this Fall.

Highly unlikely Killorn and Johnson waive NTC for Buffalo.

Good thought on the Canes trade value wise. But with TVR and Faulk UFAs in a year, Canes just might need to keep Pesce due to his long term deal.

Just a little comment, but the Canes and Lightning aren't in the same division, so we aren't division rivals. I do however agree with your Faulk comment.

Whoops, my bad...not enough coffee yet. Don't know why I made that mistake, knowing full well that they'll end up crushing the Atlantic again hahaha.

I would do trades above in a heartbeat.. agree Carolina probably prefer Faulk in trade which is fine with me .. question is who is Tampa "logical trade partner in West" ?... obviously Buffalo and Carolina match up in East

I don't get why many Bolts fans are intrigued my potentially targeting Ristolainen via trade. The guy is a defensive liability.

I'd much rather knock on Vegas door asking the pricetag for Colin Miller. Cheaper and better IMO

It is kinda astonishing to me how a guy like Erik Karlsson is most times described as a Dman that is not capable difensively. In the first half of the season with SJ he showed how strong his overall game can be.

But yeah, having another big crazy guy that can throw his body around, defende like a veteran during his rookie season and also getting some decent looks offensively... sign me up!.
Cal Foote checks the boxes, but in my opinion we'll give him another full developing year in Syracuse
