Lmao, what? You're not getting Vrana for that, and the Caps would match that in a second. That's an overpay for Djoos in his current state, but the Caps would probably match that too.

Wings decline. They are in the midst of a rebuild and that trade would set them back. AA is one of th building blocks for the future and going back to square one is not the way to go. Right now.

Nalimov Is he going to come to The NHL? Probably not and till he does he has no real value. The Wings just signed Larsson and with both Bernier and Howard coming back means The Wings have time to let their goalie prospects develop before going out and trading for one. Forsig is a defenseman drafted for his offensive ability with mediocre defensive ability. In 122 games he has 27 points. Now he could get better but right now he doesn't have a lot of value. Kahun in his first season 82 games and 37 points which is pretty good. Now Kahun is really to only player offered by Chicago in this trade with any value and AA had almost as many goals as he had points. In my opinion Kahun and Chicago's 1st isn't worth AA by himself and you want Detroit's first as well. Not worth it.

First of all, I'm not onboard with all of these Athanasiou trades everybody's been posting about. But did you seriously just say Athanasiou is worth more than Kahun AND the 3rd overall pick???

Stop with the AA trade crap, He's part of our future core and Yzerman will get him locked up. He's not going anywhere at least not move up 3 spaces in the draft.

It would be close but yeah I think I would keep AA. I also know I'm going to be one of the only people to think that's a good idea. Moving in to the top 2 is a different story. The Wings toward the end of their streak and up until this season have had big problems scoring. The Wing's have several prospect that are supposed to be offensively gifted in Zadina, Rasmussen and Veleno to name a few but none of them are going to produce right away. AA give The Wings a scoring threat every time he is on the ice and since he rarely plays on a line with Larkin it gives teams more than one line to worry about. Without AA does Larkin put up the same numbers? Or viva versa? Considering a good number of the top 10 in this years draft have already committed to play at least one year in college. While you might get a player than AA with the third pick but that player could be 2-3 years til they are playing in the NHL and then maybe a year or so till they start playing to expectations. The Wings also need scoring now because if they don’t continue to progress during the rebuild there is no reason for players to stay. Similar to Arizona look how many 1st rd picks they have traded away. Plus I'm Wings fan and I do like AA that probably factors into it. This is just my opinion.
