That trade with Tampa SUUUUUCKS

Even if the 1st wasn’t involved, I’d still say Tampa should add more
Taking Callahan’s Cap hit off their hands is of HUGE VALUE to them

???
While you could argue that Cirelli is worth a 1st based on him continuing to develop...
There’s no chance in hell hes worth a 1st, plus Risto, + a Cap dump

Good grief
He’s not even worth Risto straight up

Are u confusing him with Point???

I think you're over valuing Risto.

Switch Cirelli with Mittdlestadt. Would you trade Mittdlestadt for Risto? I sure as hell wouldn't. You have to give to get. He's 21, Risto is Tyler Myers incarnate. A first and cap relief helps Tampa keep their window open a little longer. Buffalo would have to take on more cap or retain salary on Risto all reasonable ideas

Add salary retained or another cap dump, the point remains the same

Are you outta your mind???
Cirelli is nowhere near Mittelstadt in terms of trade value
Mitts was the #1 overall prospect before this season
Cirelli is a good young player,
but has nowhere near the ceiling of Mitts
Terrible Comparison

And as for Risto...
if a team as good as Tampa is interested,
then that should show you something
With their Cap issues,
there’s no way they’d wanna bring in a 5mil+ salary player unless they really valued him

Ok and how do you know Mittdlestadt is going to be productive? Like be a little open minded. A late 1st has a lower chance of making the NHL so why not get a guy who at worst is a good 3rd line center? Many recent play off teams have depth down the center.

Risto is a more offensive Tyler Myers. In order to get something we attached a first to Myers. Just because a good team wants him doesn't mean his value skyrockets.

Wait, you agree this is a bad trade. You would not trade Mittelstadt for Ristolainen. So let's change the trade Callahan + Mittelstadt does not equal Ristolainen, but less adding a first.

Lot's more just for Ristolainen with out the first. More like Callahan, Cirelli, and Tampa 2019 first for Ristolainen. TBH, I would not make that trade from BUF POV.
