That Wayne Simmons’s contract doesn’t even wait a year to be bad. It’s bad on day one and everyone knows it.

Agreed. Additionally, Curtis McElhinney is 35. yes he played a decent game yesterday, but the Hawks can find better backups for less money. Also, Vasili shouldn't be drafted. You shouldn't draft the #3OA if there's even a 1% change he stays in Russia. WAY TOO MANY other GREAT options out there.

Dear God no Wayne Simmonds... especially at 5.5.... and 5 years?

Perlini gets more than Kampf.

PLEASE no Podkolzin at 3. His numbers were just OK and don't warrant that pick. His numbers rivaled Nichuskin and Kostin. And even if he is taken, he has a contract in Russia. He's not coming over for at least 2 years.

Boqvist isn't ready. He won't turn 19 until August. He may not even play pro hockey this year. I think the guy that gets overlooked organizationally is Lucas Carlsson. He put together a damn good rookie year in Rockford playing on small ice for the first time. Murphy deserves that 2rd spot.
