Kings are not in a position to make this trade. They are not contenders right now with a rebuild going on, bad trade for the Kings.

I've never seen a Kadri --> Kings deal before. I wonder if TOR would do something involving Toffoli, if he was retained heavily.

I disagree. Kadri is an upgrade on Jeff Carter, saves three quarters of a million dollars while picking up 6 years of age, and allows Los Angeles to move Carter for a couple of prospects/picks. As a Kings GM, I would make this trade as is or in slight variations, such as Kadri for Kempe and a switch of picks in the second round. (I'm not so eager to trade away developing defensive talent.)

It seems no one in Toronto understands how good Kadri and Nylander are

I love the guy but I wonder if he's not in a favourable place with management after another playoff suspension. Kempe fills the same position and is younger with upside to be a well rounded player. It looks like ladue was protected but effective.
