Vegas is in cap hell and will not retain salary.
Kadri isnt worth that high of a pick.
Brown is worth 4th at most.
Kapanen will get close to 4 and same with Johnsson.
marner will get 10.5 maybe more on 8 year deal.
But i am glad no Marleau or Zaitsev trade because they are either impossible or highly unlikely.

That all being said defense is terrible, need 2 more players so will be over cap. And will be over cap when RFA get paid what they should.

- Bjorkstrand ( 8 + 13 + 40 ) got him 3 x 2,5M
- Faksa ( 12 + 33 ) got him 3 x 2,2M
- Danault ( 10 + 40 + 25 ) got him 3 x 3M ( arbitration rights as Johnsson has them )

Kadri's age and his history/reputation, not to mention the desparate need to restock the pipeline with good, young talent that can be found through the draft, make that an easy no from LA.

I disagree entirely. The comparables for Johnsson are cut and dry (Athanasieu, Hertl, Panik) all of them got 2-3 years for 3.5-4% of the cap. Kapanen had a poor end to the season and i believe will take a shorter term to prove he is worth more.

In my mind, the only players that will possibly be moved are Kadri, Kapanen, and Johnsson. Everyone else is safe imo.

The defence will strugle this year (Maybe Dermott has a breakout year and Zaitzev gets back to his rookie form) but once Marleaus cap is off the books they can improve. They dont need anymore players, teams can run anywhere from 21-23 player rosters. As for the boston comment. **** the bruins.

The idea is the leafs will trade Kadri and get Eakin. VKG would have no intrest in Kadri, so I picked LAK but any team would fit.
