I don't see Dallas taking this trade. You are talking about two players who are 22-23 years old for a soon to be 29 year old Kadri. That's not going to happen. Especially considering Honka was the 14th overall pick and hasn't really got a chance to show what he can do yet. There is too much potential on the side from Dallas to make this trade.

I don't think the Stars should trade Hintz.

They have other assets that could aquire Kadri.

Yeah, when I came to Dickinson's name, the whole idea started to look weak. Seguin, Dickinson, Faksa and Hintz is a pretty nice middle corps. Plus they've got Dellandrea in the system, too.

I'm also wondering about the value of re-signing Zuccarello. It costs them a first and surely they would do this only if they couldn't persuade Panarin or Skinner to sign with them.

I don't think it's that bad of an idea. Dubas is probably not shipping Kadri cause he's not dumb and reactionary, but this is a good time for any ACGM to buy low on Kadri and make Leafs-fans look stupid which - let's face it this board is all about.

Maybe send Faksa instead? Get the better player, give up a bit more cap space, make the team slightly more competitive before Radulov, or maybe even more dreadingly Benn, declines.

Sorry haha. Hintz is the future 2nd line c of the franchise. He’ll likely put up 20 goals and 30 assists next year. He’s only getting better and is one of the fastest players in the NHL. I would move a Faksa type player for Kadri tho

I don’t know. I think Kadri has some baggage at this point. Any GM that makes a move for him is going to look stupid when he pulls a stunt at the worst possible moment. He’s a good player, but I don’t think I’d move Faksa for him in a one for one, especially considering salary.

This is a really bad trade for Dallas.

There is no reason to trade Hintz.

I also think there's no reason to trade Hintz, especially not for an older centre like Kadri. The other signings are allright and I did some of them too on my team a few weeks back.
If you want to trade Honka (a change of scenery could do him well) there's probably a young player on another team who could need a change as well. So an one for one trade could make sense...
