You're right, should have had Montreal throw in a 1st.

In all seriousness we could give some more draft capital to facilitate, Montreal would listen.

They won't probably but they will more than likely get a skin condition that places them on LTIR right around the time their contracts dip to 1-2M though. Hehe. So its only for 3-4 more seasons at worst.

If we trade assets off the rookie contracts for young guys (Poehling) we will be able to keep most during the expansion, with guys like Koivu leaving.

Ship them to Arizona to recover, lol stuck in eternal purgatory til they get those two off the books, especially the way the central is shaping up, no way there better than any of this year’s playoffs teams next year, unless major vital injuries hit one of the teams

Poehling isn’t coming that easy, you might try that same trick with a playoff team this year that thinks they are a player or two away

I don't necessarily disagree, but fans overvalue with the hatty in game one. Not to say he won't be a good player (he will), but this is why I said I'd give more capital, I think they would listen. Either way fun to dream.

Where mtl is, I just believe they are still developing a nucleus from within and possibly buy in the ufa market over trading assets for a hole, or even continue to draft for it over that deal

Agree on Soucy as an overvalue. I watched the Iowa Wild close this year and think he can make a good leap. Donato I think is fair, maybe a touch high. Considering how he performed I think he will demand it. Poehling see my other post, I don't disagree I may have undervalued a touch, but don't overvalue over one game bud.

Doubt Montreal wants to give up Poehling and they need a LD not a RD. Kessel already said no to the Pittsburgh trade in case you hadn't heard.

You payed Donato and Donskoi way too much IMO... and if Soucy is in our top 4 next year we're in for a very rough season. Kunin deserves top 6 minutes.

Back to Back 30 point seasons at St.Cloud and WJC MVP, its not just because of 1 hat trick

With the back problems Parise has had and Suter's ankle injury, I'm guessing they'll both end up on LTIR eventually.
