Why is everyone obsessed with making shesterkin the backup... Let him start in the AHL to develop and then when the king leaves in 2 years or whenever he can start. Giorgiev is a good backup and maybe after a few good seasons he can be traded similar to Talbot was for a nice little return.

Brendan Smith is not worth a 2nd round pick period. I'm also not in love with the Skinner signing.

I dont think you could Trade Brendan Smith for a 7th... Maybe you could Trade Brendan Smith with a 2nd for a 5th or something...

I would say package him with Vesey and you could probably get a 3rd or 4th rounder
