Well it ain't that easy. Due to his term...not necessarily his cap hit, Zaitsev likely stays a Leaf. So don't sign Myers. If you trade Nylander, can't (and shouldn't) trade Kapanen
Nylander has is better than his shown, Leafs need cap and his trade value is low. IMO, tow second rounder is about his trade value .
Leafs just might be cap compliant with a Nylander trade.

1. Swap the picks to go to ARI instead of TOR and that trade is closer to reality.
2. Keep Kapanen (cap ceiling should be like $86M so it fits)
3. Zaitsev trade prob isn't far off tbh

All the signings make decent sense to me. Marner deal is reasonable, but probably too many years (comparing it to the Matthews deal). Maybe add something like Marleau (50% ret) + pick to SJ for Sorenson to save an additional $1.625M?
