PIT-TOR-CBJ-LA

Description
Crazy stuff I know.

1. PIT deal. Does Pit need/want Gus? I know they have some offensive D already but he's a great scorer for a very cheap deal and would bridge the gap between Saad and Kessel.

2. CBJ deal. Been reports of interest. Not sure if they would want Anisimov back but they do desperately need draft picks.

3. TOR/LAK deals. I think Kapanen has potential to be a real good player but I also think TOR would be very lucky to move Marleau without retaining on him. a 3rd and Hayden should be able to snag Kapanen and then we can send Marleau back west. I would also reccomend signing Kapenen to a long-term deal to avoid him going off for a big pay day after a bridge deal.

4. Draft Turcotte. or Byram. I prefer Turcotte.

5. Sign Brassard to a 1 yr deal and open the door for Turcotte next year.

6. Sign Lovejoy to hold the door for one of Boqvist/Mitchell/Beaudin and may create a solid pair with Seabs.

7. Brassard, Lovejoy, Crawford, and Marleau's retainings coming off books should leave plenty of cap for next year's RFA's

You basically just posted the same thing that you did earlier. Still dumb and in no way would happen.

A. I don't live on the site just got this account B. My bad it was Hawks fan 55 C. The whole Marleau thing and trading for Kessel is heavily un-needed

I don't get why the Marleau trade is un-needed when we can take advantage of the Leaf's situation and snag a player like Kapanen. And as much as I love Saad, he can be a bit inconsistent and Kessel is a much better scorer. Kessel and Toews would make for a great pair on the top line and when you split up Kessel/Toews, Strome/DeBrincat, and Kane/Kapanen/and maybe Turcotte next year, that's a solid top 9

In what world is Kessell worth more than Saad & Gustavsson?

I would assume a world in which Phil Kessel has scored at least 70 points in each of the last three seasons while Saad's career high is 53. Idk what PIT would want in a Saad/Kessel swap but I bet it'd be something significant like a good cost effective player like Gus

To answer your question, no Columbus doesn’t want Anisimov back, he’s a little older then a player we’d want right now. Try Forsling, a 2nd and a 4th then Columbus might accept. If you replace Forsling with a forward then they’d likely accept.

I don't mind that trade as a Pens fan but I have only seen "Gus" a few times in the last year. If the Pens can unload some of their Dmen cap elsewhere this sort of deal might benefit both teams. I'm sure it would be cool for Brandon to come home for a few years.

I very much dislike that PIT trade as a hawks fan.
