Nashville wouldn't. Maybe if you swap Josi for Ellis.

Hmmm.. An aging Predators defenseman for a younger dynamic player who seems to have a strong personality (Drouin). Where have a heard this before?

Not sure I'd call Josi "aging" just yet. He's still a full year from 30 and his production certainly has stayed at a high level.

no and MTL would ban NSH from the city for life. (mean NSH forfeits every game they would have played in MTL)

Nash wont do it unless we had a top prospect and maybe another trade that include a bad contract too

Weber was 30 when he got traded. Josi is 29. Not saying his production is going to dip but I don't think it's going to improve.

Nope, way too much for Josi, in my opinion.

Not only that, but with a young growing team showing promise, they won't be trading young assets for an older D.

Pretty safe to say MTL won't do that.
Josi is really good, but MTL can't be giving away Mete(young Dman), Drouin, and the 15th overall for him. Just to much ask. probably pretty close on the value but just doesn't make sense.

What if nashville takes the 3rds out and threw their 2019 1st instead. So you give up drouin mete and move 9 spots back?

Mete hasn't scored a goal in 120 games and only has 20 points. Why are people so high on him? Genuinely curious because I don't see him play much. I wouldn't think any player with those stats would have high value.

completely 100% justifiable. I wouldn't say he has high value, I would say Mete is very solid player in the fact that he can generally out skate his weakness and he is a good puck mover.
Now of course I would love to see him score a goal and get some points, but he really is one of those guys that if you trade him, he could turn out to be a really poor mans version of Krug....really poor man's version.

I see him in the future as a 20-35 point guy. Play both 2nd PP and 2nd PK minutes. I think you have to remember, he just turned 21, like last week or something.
He will never cost you more then 3 million on the cap(shouldn't anyways) and give you 18-22 minutes.

but obviously there is a lot of work to be done to get to those lofty predictions.

Thanks for your analysis! Yeah he seems to play a lot of minutes for Montreal, so there's something there; hopefully he continues to get better. I bet when he finally scores that first goal, the Montreal bench will go bonkers!
