allright no deal then . We ain't paying a king ransom for a piece you are clearly trying to get away from . Philadelphie got Sanheim and Provorov who can anchor the PP , Ghost is not that good in his own zone everyone knows that . We think pairing him with Weber should be ideal for him but there is plenty of other option at LHD or maybe just Mete can do the job

There is an incredibly massive difference between being willing to trade a player for the right price and trying to "get away" from a player. You can't add together a bunch of mid grade pieces and expect to get a top pairing D-man on a cheap deal. Ghost is also an underrated player in his own zone, that's just a narrative people push to try and diminish his value.

Shaw is coming off a career year 60+ points on 82 games. Byron is a 20 goals scorer, Juulsen worth like Ratcliffe & you get a 2nd round pick....

There we're some rumors , we address them to have fun here . Of course we can agree or disagree on Ghost value , but Byron , Shaw, Juulsen and 2nd is a lot IMO . If you decline that ur right we should forget it then . It's ok many other option are on the table : Leddy, Edler, Butcher , Byram , Chariot , Karlsson or many others . Shaw have a good value IMO , i would say around 2 second rounder . Juulsen is a beast of a young player and play the right side a position of need for Phi if im not mistaking .

Robbed ? nah . That a lot . Shaw is elite agitator and Byron have elite speed and is elite Pker . Shaw can spare plug a team that need some pride , or a contender that know how a guy like him is SO valuable come playoffs hockey . Whining about thoses facts ? Shaw doesn't ear you as his 2 Stanley Cups rings are plugged in his ears .

This is an overpayment. People act like ghost is a god. He just had an awful season and it's been clear that the Flyers are trying to get rid of him. Shaw is a player that the new coaching staff knows and loves. Shaw and a second is enough i'd say. I would like to see Bergevin include Petry IF we can get our hands on Karlsson. Petry could be very good addition for the Flyers and they have the cap space to get him without us keeping any salary. I doubt Ratcliffe is available but if he is I would take ghost+ Ratcliffe for Shaw, Byron, Juulsen and a second round pick. Again I doubt they trade Ratcliffe but for Ghost I feel like Shaw, Byron, Juulsen and the 2nd round pick is a lot.

shaw and Byron are both middle 6 guys. Juulsen is getting close to a bust. and a 2nd round pick is nice but its not tipping the scale. in the 2017-18 season ghost had more points than shaw and Byron combined lol. I'm not denying that shaw is a good middle 6 guy, but him+byron are not landing you a top pairing LHD that would excel with shea weber. Get over the "2 Stanley cup rings" lol. if Philly wants a 2X cup champ with heart thats also speedy and great on the PK, they can sign Hagelin for 2 million. hes obviously not as good as shaw or Byron but he can provide as similar role as Byron. Ghost + hags >>>>> shaw + Byron.

At this cost, I would prefer signing Gardiner at $6.5-7 M and forget about Ghost. IMO. And trade Shaw, Jullsen and Byron for picks. 2 x 1st round, 1 x 2nd and 1 x 3rd that is what you get for that package and keep the actual 2nd.

Thing is: First, Flyers don't need any draft picks, so adding a second to square it out actually does nothing for us.
Second, we don't need twi middle 6 players. I like Shaw for our 3rd line wing spot but where does Byron go? Can't really believe they recently re-signed Raffl for two years to put him on the bench so Byron can play on the 4th line. To me that's why these rumors don't have merit unless it was for either Shaw OR Bryon and then something else needs to be added which leads us back to the first point.
Thirdly, we don't need Juulsen - he's just a throw in to say 'look we added value'. Flyers have Myers as their young RHD for next season. There's no space for Juulsen.
Fourthly, Ghost is a valuable cost controlled player, chucking a load of middling stuff isn't a deal that makes sense for the Flyers. We can probably afford to move on from Ghost with Provorov, Sanheim, and Myers, all in the NHL now but it's not as though we need to. He had a bad year but even that was mostly exacerbated by our catastrophic PP, even adding an average amount of PP points gets him around 50 total on the season. I can't see Fletcher selling low because he's not desperate to move him. Stranger things have halogens though.

Why so much money for Gardiner? Why do people think he will get that much?

Shaw and a 2nd would be an awful return for Philly. **** off. We'd be overpaying for Shaw's career year.

I get what you feel . I think Shaw , Juulsen and a 2nd is a fair offer of course if it's not enough we can go a different direction like Gardiner for example .

I hate your comments . Juulsen a bust ?Ridiculous . Shaw went on pace for 60pts year and score 20 and Byron is also a very valuable player both awesome at 5v5 . Hagelin ...well .. the ship has sail .. We trying to put the Flyers back on track , even tho u can dislike my offer or value of players , those guys would definetly help as Phi need depth offensively i think .

Juulsen was drafted 2015, had a serious eye injury, and still hasn’t been able to be a consistent NHLer. Some guys take longer to develop, but this year is a make or break year for him imo. I didn’t say he was a “bust” I said he was heading in that direction which he absolutely is. His value isn’t tipping any scales. Shaw had a career year (like most people on Montreal this last season) and he’s typically a 30-40 point guy. If you want Ghost, Whose a young, offensive top pairing guy, similar to a prime shattinkirk or yandle, it’s gonna be around drouin. Philly isn’t gonna trade him just for the sake of trading him.

agree to disagree . Weighting the effort of Shaw just by pts doesn't give justice to the type of warrior and the type of warfare he is involved in . Juulsen eye is back to normal and he is far from done . Ghost is not that good , he is a kinda Phil Housley but they come with defensive woe . Im eyeing more Nicolas Beaudin or Will Butcher , Jake Bean than Ghost so no harm .
