Description

VGK need to resign Karlsson and Gusev so the Canucks can maybe use that to pry Tuch away and give them some cap space

Also, sign Kapanen and Johnsson to identical offer sheets and make TOR choose when one they want.

Fair enough, didn't think about that. Either way, they sign one of them and if TOR matches, they use the same pick to try and sign the other one haha

You can't offer sheet both players at the same amount. You have to have the compensation in case a team doesn't match and the offer sheet is successful. Otherwise it turns into another Brendan Shanahan situation where basically Toronto chooses which roster player they want as compensation. Not even sure the league allows that anymore so Vancouver would be screwed and not allowed to offer sheet both. But Jim Benning would probably try since he's a moron

Multiple OS are issued every offseason so the OS idea is entirely plausible. Oh wait I'm wrong only 3 OS have been presented and signed in 20 years

as a canucks fan i like both of these, and have proposed them on previous AGM's
VGK seems pretty invested in tuch and seem sunlikely that they would trade him. although the value is there VGK is probably just not interested.
better option may be to trade for AJ and avoid FA and offer sheets. pay a bit more in a TOR trade but get rights to sign him before FA. again TOR may just not be interested in moving him though
