I like your contracts and I actually like the Nashville trade as it boosts our defense to where I would like it to be and has the opportunity to make both teams better. Only thing I dislike is the loss of Simon. He needs to be given a chance through the end of his contract because other than not finishing his scoring chances he has been great. Simon-Bjugstad-Hornqvist was our best line near the end of the season and all 4 playoff games. So I would spare the Panik signing, keep Simon and offer another pick going back to OTT.

Preds aren't trading Ekholm, can't afford to have all sorts of expensive D and trade our best value Dman. He is the least likely to be traded of the top 4.

Mattias Ekholm returns more than Phil Kessel. Stud defensemen on a ridiculous contract for the next three years.

If Nashville wants forwards, why trade two high caliber defensemen for one aging forward?

Any scenario that involves moving out Kris Letang makes the penguins a much worse team.

I agree with this. This is a down grade in the top pairing.
