Avs say no thanks

Tanev is definitely an upgrade to the defense in FLA if he stays healthy but Reimer’s contract wont be that easy to move, you may have to spice it up with a 2nd rounder or send him somewhere that is desperate for a goalie like Calgary. Reiner hasn’t been that good and that contract is bad. I hope you guys get Bob, I’d like to see Barkov and the Panthers in the playoffs, I think they will do some real damage given the opportunity.

Reimer for Frolik

At this point, I think a 2021 1st would get more traction in the Tanev trade. Gives a little insurance for that draft. 1st and Pysyk would be reasonable.

If Varlamov walks Reimer could be a decent 2G

That 1st would have to be a conditional depending on Tanev's health. He's quite injury prone.

I think he could be a decent 2G, but the Avs should roll with Grubauer and Francouz as a tandem next year. I would look to CAR or NJD to see if they would be interested in Reimer. I just don't think the Avs should be taking any cap dumps right now

Well to be fair CAR and NJ aren't exactly the most viable options since they just made major acquisitions in Subban and Marleau.
