64 million for 6 years for Marner (that's 10'666'666 million AVV), that's slightly higher than the minimum Offer Sheet compensation of four 1st Round picks. Plus I think Marner would want 6 years so he'll know what Matthews and Nylander get as UFA's and both his and J.T.'s contract will end at the same time, so he wants to continue the duo with him.

And I doubt we can keep Zaitsev after that interview he gave which he stated he hated Toronto management/City/Fans/Media et al.

Can't give away a RHD without getting equal value. If you can't get a return, you have to keep him. That's the premise here.

Unfortunately he can not play in the khl unless we terminate his contract. But that cap space could be useful to make a move for an rhd.

Right, but terminating the contract seems highly unlikely. And this is what we could easily look like if we can't get a 'fair' value return. I don't think him leaving is a foregone conclusion.
