Really strange they didn't make the 3rd round pick conditional. You'd think it would be similar to Yandle trade where they only get the pick if they sign the player.

Buffalo had 4 third round picks before the trade. High risk/decent to maybe high reward. I think Buffalo could sign him if its just about money with the guy because they have plenty of cap space
