Depends upon what you mean by "mathematically possible." This year, yes. Next year, not so sure. Conservatively, you'll need $8M or so to re-sign Barzal, $3M or so to re-sign Pulock and $2M to re-sign Toews, plus another $2M to replace Martin and Greiss with minimum-cap players. You'll recover $5,833,333 from Martin and Greiss and get at most a $3M cap ceiling bounce. So you'll have to generate a net cap shave of $6M. Looks to me like you're just making trouble for yourself.

Don't think the Leaf would match. Habs signed Chariot. Have to find another way to dump cap. Better hope Ladd is LTIR for the four years cause there cap problems with Pulock and Barzel.
