    Dubas would match, no doubt, he doesn't have the balls not to match Marner and doesn't man up to try a Offer Sheet revenge tactic.

    This is the Bruins not the Leafs;

    Bruins Top 4 players = 26'916'666
    Leafs Top 3 players = 29'596'366 and still waiting on the Marner signing to add to this total.

    The Carlo signing is perfect. He won’t get a lot on a 2 year deal.

    And how exactly are they going to do that? Can't see Boston trading McAvoy to Toronto

    It's called an offer sheet for a restricted free agent

    Group 1 RFA. Only 2 years of NHL service. Can only sign with Boston

    That isn't a thing. He's finished his ELC. He signed after an NCAA year and played in the AHL that year.

    He finished his ELC. He's an RFA. He can be signed to an offersheet

    A player needs 3 accrued seasons to be eligible for an offer sheet. An accrued season is 40 games played in a year. McAvoy has only played 40 games in 2 seasons. He is not eligible to be offersheeted.

    Never heard of that rule. I did read the CBA I'm big enough to admit when I'm wrong.

    By the way it's not 40 games.

    For an 18 or 19 year old it's 10 NHL games and for 20+ year old it's 10 professional games.

    I don't know if playoffs count but regardless he just played 6 playoff games in his first year.
    ON3M4N and Jiannuccilli liked this.

    laugh laugh No way Carlo signs that low, And got news for you Marner would never sign that offer sheet. You'd need to offer in the range of $14 million per for him to sign it.

    Low? This is pretty high for Carlo on a 2 year deal.

    nice troll job, though if you are a little bit serious, I'm guessing you missed the 4 year offer. UFA ending contract would be hitting a jackpot. This is a worse case scenario for the Leafs, a max contract at below the 4 1st Rd picks compensation plus a 4 year deal resulting in UFA status a.s.a.p. This is a screw job like none ever before. Hence the perfect sabotage attempt by an Eastern Conference competitor.
