Now trade Anderson and offersheet Marner, with these deals Columbus can now afford to resign PLD and others, or every leave Benning in Edmonton and let Kukan, Gavrikov, Clendening and Peeke play 3rd pair and still have enough money for Marner and PLD on a bridge deal.

This is a good start.

Then make the trade Wennberg and Anderson for Sheary, a 2nd round pick and something else.

That helps Columbus and fills Buffalo's two biggest needs.

Getting Anderson makes it more acceptable for Buffalo to take Wennberg's contract off Columbus' hands.

(*Columbus could also use Ristolainen on the right side.)

I think adding Anderson to the buffalo trade would have buffalo add a little more due to the condition of the 2nd based on production of Wennberg, as for adding a RHD is rather get Jokiharju then Risto. Risto is good but needs to be paired with a more defensive D then anyone Columbus has on the left side. Savard is our best defensive D.

I actually think CBJ passes on the Sabres deal, Wennberg may be given a shot at #2 and could break out with that chance. Id take Anderson there though if thats the move

If they are able to sign Marner and he’s the key to keeping PLD and others then maybe, but not really.

I actually think Savard greatly improves EDM for the 2 years, just don't know about Benning and two picks

Agree to disagree, I think Edmonton should focus on the young guns
