If I am the Oilers I’d take Gudbranson but instead of ZAR I’d want a B tier prospect + 3rd/4th in 2021

Rust is a decent 3rd liner, but sens don't really need him, and he's definitely not enough to move JJ. With the number of young forwards coming up in the next few years, I'd rather have the 3rd than Rust.

Not enough to move JJ? Rust is more than enough, he is worth more than a 1st Round pick. Better than Kapanen.

If you want to win another cup you need to get rid of Hornqvist or throw him on the LTIR, since he’ll probably retire due to injury complications within the next 2 years anyway. Oh and you underpaid McCann by the way.

Lmao not even close. He's a 3rd liner who has put up pedestrian offensive numbers considering how much he's played with two of the best player in the world. He's a very useful complimentary peice, but he's replaceable, and he's definitely NOT worth a 1st round pick.

I spoke with @pharrow and she told me that Rust is worth a minimum of a player on Kapanen’s caliber and a first round pick. Thoughts?

Rust is not on the same level as Kapanen. Kapanen is much better, and he's also significantly younger with much more room to grow. I can't see Rust being worth more than a 2nd TOPS. I probably wouldn't give up that much tbh.

I agree with you, but I was speaking to @MichaelClaus4 and he took me that Rust is far better than Kapanen. Rust has scored so many clutch goals in the playoffs which contributed to his team winning the cup, whereas Kapanen hasn’t done anything. What’d you think?

Kapanen just finished his 1st full NHL season, and it was really the first time he got to play above the 4th line. Kapanen is just getting started, whereas Rust is what he is.

Rust has scored more playoff goals, but he also has played 3x more post season games than Kappy.

Lmfao rust is worth more than a 1st. He’s 27 and has never had a season where he scores more than 40 points or 20 goals. He’s also played with Sid and Geno. Connor sheary scores 50+ points with Sid..... this guy is clueless. Haha. Rust is clutch but lacks that elite level talent. I’d pay a 2nd for him if they ate some salary.
