Description

We have two options here :

1 - Offer sheet him for 4 227 436 (2nd round pick compensation) which they can match but they would need to get rid of something around 3M.

2- We offer what they want.

What do you think ? I'm going with 2 here. But i want to know your opinion about 1 vs 2 and this trade offer.

yeah I think there is a games played or some other requirement that is needed for him to be allowed to offersheeted. With Vegas cap situation and his public demands its really just 1 option and Vegas doesn't have a lot of leverage in trade talks IMO

I think it is fair. Ylonen is a better prospect than most of the one I've seen in other trade proposal.
But we could trade him with suzuki/caufield ahead of him in our RW depth chart

dont know very much about Ylönen at all so I cant really judge it. I dont think he would cost a great amount to get him but some of the Vegas fans on this site think he is going to fetch a teams top prospect. Which I dont believe at all

Mtl wouldn’t do Ylonen vs Gusev straight up. Ylonen is a A- B+ prospect, drafted 35 OA in 2018. If you wanna do a trade including a 2nd round pick, Vejdemo + 2nd round pick is enough. You dont include Ylonen Fleury, maybe J.Olofsson, but not with a 2nd round pick, a late pick.

not enough, it's been reported they were offered that and turned it down and they have no need to trade the Clarkson contract. They will likely sign him in the end

In my opinion, Las Vegas would take this offer. The question is whether Montreal would make it.

In my opinion, we have Caufield, gallagher and Ikonen to play RW for the futur... so why not ?

In later year we would see something like

Domi - Suzuki - Caufield
Gusev - Poehling - Gally
Drouin - KK - Ikonen
Lehkonen - whoever - Armia

Seems legit to me

If it can't help us right now, why not ? Who says that Ylonen won't be a bust ? Who says Gusev won't be a flop ? Everyone can be right

Who says that Hugues won't be a bust ? When kids have high potentiel, you dont trade them for a guess like Gusev.
