He is coming off terrible year. He is not worth a first. He is on dimensional and if he can’t score he is useless and last year he was useless. Second and Thompson is an overpayment that is why u have to take scandella at half the cost.

He had 21 goals. He has 76 goals the last 3 years.

You are wrong. Thompson is nothing. 2nd round picks are throw ins and scandella has negative value

The value on all three trades are a bit off.

The Risto trade doesn't actually help us since we are trading him for a 3rd line center and 3rd line winger. Both who have only 1 year left as RFAs (Sobotka is meaningless since he's under contract 1 year thus not worth us spending assets on getting rid of him.

The 2nd trade is closer, Sheary for a 3rd would be a tad closer. We got him for a 4th and taking on a cap dump for 2 years, thus a 3rd would make some sense based on the lack of a cap dump but only 1 year.

The last one is skewed in another direction. Zucker is valuable but we cannot use Scandella (even at 2mil) as an asset. Thompson and a 2nd would probably be spot on. An unproven prospect with potential and size with a 2nd for a 4 year contract at 5mil+. His past season wasn't great but wasn't horrid either.

Thompson is a former 1st round prospect with size and potential
2nds aren't 1sts but aren't mere throw ins. (4ths through 7ths are throw ins)(3rds in a larger trade)
I agree on Scandella however

Over hundred players scored 20 goals and over 150 players scored over 42 points.

Brett connolly and Dzingel, scored more goals and points and is much more complete player. He signed more team friendly deal. So please explain to me why zuckers is worth so much. We traded for jimmy vesey for a third. he scored 17 goals and 35 points almost identiacal to zucker last year. Except he can play penalty kill and zucker had 14 PP points and he 4.

Please explain. Please explain why I am hopeless I proved everything with facts and stats. I am from buffalo and Matt collar who I believe is the sideline guy Vikings and wild comes on wgr all the time. He even said that he is very one dimensional and struggles to get puck out of his own zone. He is a north and south guy with speed and don’t ask for more then that. The trade is more then fair and prolly an overpayment if anything

Tage Thompson is bordering on being a bust and is headed to the AHL this year. Scandella has negative value. Zucker scores goals and is on a great contract.

Thompson is no where near bust and will get a shot in top six this year. He is young and on great contract.

Zucker is not on great contract any more with Connolly and dzingel signing cheaper contracts and producing at better rate like I stated earlier. He is good not great player. He did not produce enough to be top line player and barley enough to be top six.

Tage is on the last year of his ELC. In what world is he getting top 6 minutes?

Jason Zucker is an accomplished goal scorer who is in fact on a good deal.

This world and he will get a shot at top six and at worst top 9. On wild he will be easily top 6.

5.5 is not a good deal for 20 goal scorer. Especially when they only get 40 points and need pp to get half of them.

If Thompson is a bust the Sabres do not have any decent prospects. He was the best performer at the French Connection 3 on 3 and was given the Rammer award as the hardest working participant.

While I think Zucker is a good player, he is over paid for his output and I do not think he the player the Sabres need.
I agree that Thompson will be given a shot at the top 6. He was awesome after being sent down to Rochester and performed exceptionally well in the FC 3 on 3. Big players take longer to develop, and he is a very big player. Let's not trade for Zucker and keep Thompson.

What would a fair offer be for 4 years of Jeff Skinner (so that you only get his peak not his decline), with you retaining 3.5 mil?

That's about the appropriate cost of Zucker...

Skinner is 5th on even strength scoring since he came into the league. He is one of the best scorers in league. Zucker scored 14 even strength goals last year. That is good for 144 in the league. Pominville and vesey both had more.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
