Babs would be suspected in the murder of Doobie if he ever traded Hyman away.
Hyman is very good (especially for his hit), we aren't moving him.

Let him walk into UFA, don't trade him. Moore will take over when Hyman walks.

Trading Hyman doesn't save that much cap, he's making "just" 2.4m. IMO there will be better value out there instead of spending 12m on Barrie and Muzzin. Especially Barrie, some team will want to pay a lot for PP speciality.

Who replaces him? Who do the Leafs have that can be expected to do what he does, chip in 20 goals and 40+ points and kill penalties and be big enough to do the dirty work he does?

Also DO NOT GIVE BARRIE THAT TERM. I wouldn't even give him that much money. Remember we need to sign Rielly in the not too distant future. If Barrie or Muzzin are signed they have to be FA prior to when Matthews and Nylander are up next. You want as much flexibility as you can when they are up in 5 years.

Muzzin will get more than $4.5M. Probably around $6M.

Find some money by not giving Barrie so much. Just because he asks for 8M doesn't make him worth it. Same thing as Marner this year they are starting high and letting you people and the Media argue their worth it.
