I would say Gus for Tatar and maybe a 3rd or 2nd. The reason is, is he’s the Hawks best defensemen

You're not getting a top prospect for a one year wonder. He will remain good but last year will probably be his career year, doubt he gets over 50 points for the rest of it.

I agree our defense is crap but he is not our best overall defenseman and definitely not worth a crazy good prospect considering he is only signed for one year. But he is the best offensive defenseman and a good power play quarterback, that being said we have Adam Boqvist ready to go soon so this deal would be done in around November or December. Assuming the deal is done with an extension in place for Gus then we would want a good middle six player and a draft pick

A better return than some would say. Not like a 2nd+3rd. I wouldn't do that as Chicago. Really good offensively, not good enough defensively, but a 60 point d-man is worth more than a 2nd+3rd IMO ... will be interesting to see if he repeats last year. I think he can.
