Thanks.

Arguably NYI getting the better end of value (immediately), but if JHS can bloom into a Top-6 player, he can eventually replace Tatar's production long term.

Because I'm trading for a Top 2/3 LD (current hole) and losing out on a Top-6 Winger (current org. surplus).

Do you even math, son?

Tatar vs Leddy straight up ? Why is Lehkonen on the trade ? They should send a 2nd + 3rd for Lehkonen alone. Ho-Sang lmao

Yup... Montreal getting the short end here. Would say that Montreal takes the 2nd and gives up no picks.

Why not just Leddy for Tatar.

Not looking at the value of Lehkonen but the Isles have a bunch or LW, and an opening on the RW which Ho-Sang has an opportunity to fill.

If Tatar doesn't get Montreal at least Pelech and a 5th, it's a no from me. No way Montreal trades their best winger for Isles' #3 LD. Tatar would also become the Isles best winger so the trade would be crazy one-sided,

2 year vs. 3 year. The Chicago 2nd shouldn't be too much farther away from that NYI 3rd based on their off-season movement thus far.

Question mark prospect vs. young defensively responsible top9 wingers. Lehk. is the safer option at this point for a team trying to compete, with a lower ceiling than JHS.

Well, Tatar would not be the #1 Wing as that would be Lee and Bailey would be the #2.

And Leddy played #1 LD minutes for the Isles last year.

Lehkonen is a good player, but he is not a fit on the Isles with the players they have on the roster. Ho Sang fits a need and looks to be getting his chance this year.

I guess you are insinuating that the Isles will be a bottom 10 team by saying their 3rd is similar to Chicago’s 2nd.

Opposite, I expect Chicago's 2nd should be later given the moves they've made.

Understood, he'd slot in as #2LW with Eberle on the right side. Top 6 wingers can play anywhere in the top 6.

Possibly - or instead of JHS the focus is on Beauvillier instead.

IMO, Pelech and Toews are both better than Leddy and will only get better in the future, which Montreal needs because they're not making playoffs again this year. Also, Tatar is better than Lee and Bailey. Lee is edged very slightly but Bailey is worse on both ends, no questions asked.

I get it that you want to rate your players higher, but look at the facts. Bailey has produced more offensively, and is actually a superb defensive forward. And I think most people will take Lee over Tatar everyday of the week.

Tatar had more goals, less assists, and more points than Bailey on a team with a non-existent powerplay. Tatar also had a better +/- on a worse team and is more physical. His corsi is way better and he stole the puck more than he gave it away unlike Bailey. Tatar and Bailey are not close. There is argument for Lee being better than Tatar but I think Tatar is a little better and I definitely can't convince an Isles fan of that.
