Wow, I'm not sure if this is the solution to the Wild's problem but the Penguins would definitely accept.

A 40-50Pt guy, a bust, and a cap dump and 2 middling 1st rounders aren't enough.

In your opinion, which player was better at their peak, Malkin or E.Staal?

Nothing about what I said is complaining. Ek is in bust territory and rask is a cap dump. Not to mention who would be 2c for the pens?

Agreed. E. Staal isn't even in the conversation with peak Geno.

Eriksson Ek would be 2C for PIT.

That's a tougher one. My Pens bias is going to make me say Malkin, but Kane is close. The way I view it is that Malkin is the closest to Lemieux in this generation with his skill and size where he'll just power through basically full teams to take over. Kane has some of the quickest hands in the world and can stickhandle through a whole team. I don't know if I've really given an answer at this point, but I stand by it all.

Kane at his peak was on the same level as Malkin.

Rask at 2M isn’t a capdump. Bjugstad Rask EK can all fight for the 2C spot. Mtl got Philip Danault as a Center #1 & he’s doing pretty good.

You are right that Kane has the best stick handling, but he has never gone through a whole team. Malkin has. Remember his goal vs Tampa in 2012?

The Wild don't really have anyone of value, so this is as good as it gets.

Rask is terrible, even at 2m. Bjug, rask and ek all cannot handle 2c responsibilities, really not even close. And guess who tried to get 2 big name centers this summer? (Duchene and Aho) Clearly they aren't as satisfied with their #1 center as you.

Oh of course I do. My personal favorite goal of Geno's was the "whirling, sinister, no-look backhander" for the hat trick from the '09 ECF against Carolina though.

That is right. Who'd you think is better, Eichel or Malkin at his best?

Malkin, but I don't think we've seen Eichel's best yet so we'll see. But at this point he hasn't shown me enough to think his best will be better than Malkin's.
