The though that chiarelli might be getting another job despite what he did in Edmonton and Boston is saddening. Idk what to say

I know, he did horrible things to the Bruins like winning the Stanley Cup there.

I was referring to the seguin and wheeler trades. Especially the wheeler one. One might argue that peverly helped them win a cup but he didn’t help anymore than wheeler would have. I’m happy though. Jets got our captain and leader. Yes he won a cup but imagine how good the bruins would be with wheeler and seguin right now

And look above. Most of the core was gorton’s work not chiarelli. I don’t care that he won a cup he is still a terrible gm

There's a context and a lots of circumstances so you can't just say " imagine if they still have Wheeler & Seguin "

Indeed, imagine the cap, try to imagine it; it's unrealistic.

We could not know Wheeler was going to become this good when we traded him and you said it, Peverley helped us win the Cup so I'll take that guarantee (winning a Cup) over having an elite player.

Seguin is a bit more complicated but everyone just see the " talent " we traded. Seguin wasn't only traded because he wasn't an elite player at that moment; the off-ice stuff played a lot in the balance. With Bergeron & Krejci at that time, I would re-do the trade but only thing, I try to get more in return than the original one.

It's simply unrealistic to say that, especially because of the cap. Easy to say " x team could have had " because EVERYBODY COULD HAVE HAD and every team miss out a player sometimes...

Chiarelli trade record is just disgusting. You cant defend that if your family name is not Milbury.

And then proceeded to drive the team into the ground with terrible contracts and awful trades.

My point is that peverly provided the same offence that wheeler did. And when chiarelli acquired peverly, there was no guarenteed cup. So chiarelli realistically didn’t help the team too much. Seguin was just bad in value. I’m sure they would have figured something out with seguin until his past contract would have expired. Then they let him go. that could have gotten them another cup

I know it’s wrong to think that but one can’t help it. As the saying goes “foresight is 2020”

Chiarelli single handedly ruined an entire team with the best player in the world
