1. Ottawa says no. That package isn't even close to getting Brady Tkachuk.
2. Winnipeg says no. They would never trade Schiefele unless the package heavily favours them.
3. Calgary says no because Dube's value is higher than JPs.

I don't agree with that. It's more like WPG needs a top 6 center more than any other contending team in the league. its counter intuitive to trade their 1C for a position they already have massive depth in. Gaudreau is definitely the better player though but Schiefele plays the more impactful role.

Gaudreau has more pure offensive skill, but in terms of an overall player, I'm going Scheifele all day. Scheifele is nearly perfect in just about every aspect of the game.

I think that the Ottawa trade is currently fair based on current skill levels with no 2nd but Brady has a way higher ceiling so Ottawa would never accept. Add on to that the is the face of the franchise and Ottawa might laugh at the offer. Calgary would never do the EDM trade and while Gaudreau is better offensively Scheifle is a 1C and has better defense and is too important to WPG right now. They need to stop losing players at important positions
