Backes, Callahan, Ryan, Anderson, Gaborik, MacArthur. That would be a hell of a team in 2011

I do not think just because Boston has to trade means that the cheap owner of Ottawa is gonna pay his salary instead.

We're not sending a 1st AND a 3rd. Sweeney is very reluctant to move his 1st, possibly why Backes is still a Bruin

Yup.

TOR moved a first to dump one year of Marleau.

BOS should move first+ to dump two years of even worse player.

Honestly, they should be happy if the cost of dumping him were just 1st and 3rd.

Marleau's cap hit was higher. Also it's conditional. And it's not because TOR do it that we will lol

Maybe a 2020 2nd, 2021 3rd, one good prospect and a meh prospect/low pick

No way Backes leaves a potential cup contender in Boston, For the likes of Ottawa.

Moore and Miller are not expected to be ready to start the year and will probably go LTIR (as could Backes after his potential surgery). Moore and Miller alone are around $5.25 million

Lol 250k higher. Hardly a needle mover. But what does move the needle is that Backes has 2 years left on his deal compared to Marleau's 1. It's also a pain to buy out. So if we're comparing, Backes should cost more to move. Then he has to waive his ntc? Good luck

Miller broke his knee cap in two different directions... last report was they were not expecting him to start the year.
